OUR TECHNOLOGY

Vacuum Explosion Welding

Founded in 1962, Shockwave introduced vacuum explosion welding in 1985. Since then, Shockwave has perfected the art of joining dissimilar metals inside state-of-the-art vacuum chambers. With three of them in operation, including one of the largest worldwide, we produce clad plates of up to 30 m². This technology combines innovation with environmental responsibility, ensuring exceptional quality while minimizing ecological impact.

With over 60 years of experience joining dissimilar metals, Shockwave manufactures clad plates from 0.5 m² up to 30 m², weighing as much as 30 tons, alongside a full range of specialized transition joints for structural, electrical and cryogenic applications. And when standard solutions don’t fit, we engineer custom combinations to match your exact specifications.
